The Basic Prosecution in Pristina announces that it has
brought charges against the former CEO of Telekom Kosovo, Agron Mustafa, for
the case of the contract with "PAYKOS" company.
According to the prosecution's statement, Mustafa is accused
of the criminal offense of "Conclusion of damaging contract."
"After the investigation, collection and analysis of
evidence, on May 3, 2023, an indictment was filed against the defendant A.M.,
for the criminal offense of" Conclusion of damaging contract "under
Article 291 paragraph 2, related to paragraph 1, and under Article 81,
paragraph 1, sub-paragraphs 1.2 and 1.5 of the CPC," the Prosecution's
statement said.
The Prosecution's statement says that instead of protecting
the interests of the company, he changed the terms of the contract to its
disadvantage and caused damage worth over 6,396,000 euros.
"According to the indictment, the defendant, as the CEO
of Telekom Kosovo JSC in Pristina, on March 16, 2015, and subsequently with
knowledge, acted to the detriment of PTK, so through the conclusion of annexes,
agreements, by changing the terms of the contract to the disadvantage of the
represented enterprise, instead of protecting its interests, intentionally
caused damage to Telekom Kosovo, and that in the amount of 6,796,732 € (six
million seven hundred ninety-six thousand seven hundred thirty-two
euros)," the statement said.
According to the Prosecution, the defendant has committed
the above-mentioned criminal offense, so the State Prosecutor, with the
indictment, has proposed to the Court that the defendant be found guilty and
punished according to the law for the criminal offense he is charged with.
